GCS 25th Anniversary

Forty-four friends and members of GCS, Arizona’s local Urantia group, gathered together and rekindled longtime friendships at our 25th Anniversary Banquet on May 16th in Scottsdale, Arizona.  After  mixing, mingling, and eating, everyone listened to two speakers during the evening. Longtime Arizona reader Larry Bowman shared memories of his family’s involvement with the Forum and his reflections on the progress of the Urantia movement since the publication of The Urantia Book almost 60 years ago. Californian Geoffrey Theiss, probably the youngest person ever elected to The Urantia Book Fellowship’s General Council, spoke on how to attract readers of his generation—the Millennials—to the UB and get them involved with leadership roles on local societies and the Fellowship. These talks are available on YouTube below. Thank you to Eric Cosh for graciously volunteering to record them.
